Testimonials: Rick 2009

I was born in Columbus, Nebraska on February, 1971. I was born and raised into a normal middle class family. I made my own good and bad decisions in life. My worst decision was to quit school, in turn, my best and most fulfilling decision was to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, to become a child of the Holy Father, trusting and loving His only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, who died on the cross in order to pay for my sins (John 3:16). This all came about the moment the Christian servants at the Columbus Rescue Mission introduced me to the Word of God and helped me to start my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. I had stayed at the Mission in April of 2009, but was asked to leave because I couldn’t find a job. When I came back to the Mission in June, I had trusted the Lord to find me the perfect job. I have been steadily employed for 3 months, at a job I love, and have even taken on another part-time job on the weekends. I wound up my situation, being broke, homeless, and unemployed, not due to any substance abuse, but by my own ignorance alone. I made a mess of my life. But by putting my faith and trust in Jesus Christ, I have been able to turn my life around, to become a new man, a better man. (2 Cor. 5:17) Now I try to live my life the way God wants me to live.

God bless you all and keep me in your prayers and I will keep you in my prayers.
